Sharing

Share your team publicly so anyone can view and clone it.

Making a team public

Sharing via the CLI requires a linked account. Run teamrc login first to link your machine to an account. If you created the team through the web UI, your browser session already has the required ownership, so you can share without a separate account.

From the CLI

terminal
$ npx @teamrc/cli share

This makes your team public and prints the share URL and clone command.

From the web UI

Open your team dashboard and click the Share button. You'll see a confirmation dialog explaining that your team will become publicly visible. Confirm, and the share panel appears with a copyable link.

The share URL

Public teams get a URL in the format:

https://teamrc.ai/t/<clone_token>

This page shows the team name, agents, and skills. Anyone with the link can view the team composition and copy the clone command. The page also has a copy-link button for easy re-sharing.

Cloning a shared team

If someone shares a team URL with you, clone it from any project directory:

terminal
$ npx @teamrc/cli clone <clone_token>

This copies the team definition to your machine and applies it to your detected platforms. Run teamrc pull anytime to get the latest updates from the original team.

Stopping sharing

To make a team private again, use the CLI:

terminal
$ npx @teamrc/cli share --off

Or click Make private on the team dashboard. The share link immediately stops working. You can re-share at any time, which generates the same link.

What is and isn't shared

When a team is public, viewers can see:

  • Team name
  • Agent names, roles, and soul descriptions
  • Skill IDs and descriptions
  • Skill assignments per agent

Knowledge and skill bodies are never shared

Knowledge files are private to your team and are not included on the public share page or in cloned copies. They often contain project-specific context, so they stay with the machines that created them. Skill bodies (the full instruction text) are also redacted from public previews. Viewers see skill IDs and descriptions only.
